About the Patient Care Addition

Excitement is building! Interior construction is winding down and Resurrection Medical Center's $80 million Patient Care Addition will be opening in a few months. Opening festivities will kick off on July 22 with a blessing by Francis Cardinal George followed by a series of open houses for the community and staff.

Here is what a typical patient room will look like:

Our Goal — A Healing Environment

Research has shown a link between physical environment and patient outcomes, as well as family and staff satisfaction. Our addition features numerous enhancements in room design and décor to promote a healing environment to comfort those we care for, their loved ones and our staff.

You'll notice:

  • Single patient rooms with designated space for patient, family and staff

  • Emphasis on natural lighting supported by regional artificial lighting

  • Healing art themes that express life and hope and create a sense of peace

  • Nursing workstations adjacent to and visible from the room

  • A healing garden
