Project Details
Four floors of the addition will provide state-of-the-art rooms for ICU, Medical/Surgical and Rehabilitation patients. A modernized cardiodiagnostics center, including nuclear medicine, will be located on the first floor. The ground floor will house the replacement conference and education center.
Many existing rooms will be upgraded as part of the overall construction. All new and renovated rooms will be single occupancy, providing greater patient privacy, safety and space for family members to remain with the patient on a 24-hour basis.
The addition will add 11 new intensive care unit beds. This will improve the transfer of critically-ill patients received by the Emergency Room to the ICU alleviating the need to go on by-pass or diversion.
